CCIE SP Technology Workbooks

23 March 2009 13 Comments

I have decided to put all the labs I create while studying for the SP exam into my own workbooks and provide them here. So far I have ATM, PPPoE and ISIS up. These workbooks will be based off the  SP Lab blueprint, Currently MPLS is the focus and I am breaking it down like so

Mpls - basics and LDP.

Mpls - TE

Mpls - VPN

Mpls - AToM , EoMPLS

If anyone has any preference as to what workbooks I should be next, Send me an email or leave a comment.

Here is the sp.net file I am using

IS-IS

ATM PPPoA

ATM Physical

ATM Point-to-Point

ATM Multipoint

ATM FRATM

ATM Encapsulation and Back2Back

PPPoE

@CCIETalk thanks bud, These individual labs are going to be compiled into a workbook, So far I have created labs for the above and point2point sub-interface and hub/spoke design, PPPoA and currently writing some labs for FRF.5 , FRF.8 and FRF.16

Also a revised Dynamips topology will be posted soon as well as my new Service Provider setup ( The sp.net file with real switches ).

    Josh,

Some great stuff there! I’d be interested in the MPLS stuff, specifically, VPNs!

    Keep up the good work,

    Hello Josh,

Really a good work. Creating labs for individual topics along with CCIE prep is not an easy one. As like Antonio’s website, your blog will also be a excellent resource for all of the beginers like me. I looked at ur .net file. I am running dynamips on my winxp machine with core2duo processor and 4GB RAM.
will the idlepc values mentioned in ur .net file will help me in running BGP. bcoz dynamips crashes when i use my idlepc values. Could you please tell me what is the use of nvram = 128. I have not setup nvram value in my .net file.

Thanks Josh for work that you’ve done to provide this scenario with configs.
I checked PPPoA scenario and it doesn’t work for me. I put the same config as you did but can’t negotiate PPP nor receive IP address from Peer.
Could you tell me what image you’re using? I use two 7200 routers with c7200-p-mz.124-21.bin image. Thanks for any advises on this.

Excellent job done. Came across your site yesterday and found it really useful. ATM is not my strong point but this site helped.

I tried to use the FRATM set up in GNS3 and it didn’t work. How does the Frame link on the switch NOT use the frame-relay intf-type DCE and still have the client come up? I don’t think the configs are complete since I only get output frames and no input. Any suggestions?
