@ahenning I'm not really interested in going all the way with Design at this stage, I would rather stick with the CCDP and then get some more experience in the area before I consider tackling that particular IE.

I definately agree on the boring aspect of written exams, Not really looking forward to it.

Good luck on the Design goals, but why not go for CCDE after CCDP? I might consider it after SP.

Personally I find the theory exams boring after the Lab. I dont mean that they are easy, preparing for the lab is just a whole different ball game.

Last tip, get as much done now before the Post traumatic test disorder kicks in. It is potent enough to paralyze for weeks.

@Brian
Thanks champ, the road to a IE is full of fun :). I respect your decision regarding Voice, It will be awhile before I am confident enough to hit it up.

@Matt We had a discussion on this at work, Basically the results were, Once you have your IE, you are expected to know everything, after all you are an Expert. Now take any single IE track and there is huge amount that is not covered, yet it is expected that you know atleast some of it.

So maybe I should have stated that my pursuit of the CCDP isn't as a resume filler, It's to increase my own knowledge in an area that i think is lacking.

I see you point, and it is taken but once you have an E level certification I don't think anyone who reads your CV cares about how many P or A level certs you have.

@invalidccie CCIP would probably be a better logical step, But I want to do something other than router configuration for my next goal. and the CCDP seems to fit.

Hi Matt,

I think if the P level cert is in a similar track as your IE quals then ok, But Design is a completely different arena to any of the current IE's. So I still think its a worthy cert to achieve.
